Huw was formerly a Conservative Councillor but left them due to disillusionment with the direction the party was taking. He is the former Deputy Presiding Officer on the Council. Outside of politics, Huw was the Head of Music at the old Llansamlet Secondary Modern, Penlan Comprehensive and Pentrehafod Comprehensive Schools. A fluent Welsh speaker, Huw has been the Assistant Conductor at Morriston Orpheus for 34 years and is also an accomplished actor, appearing in Pobl y Cwm, Cowbois ac Injans, Casualty and the latest series of Dr. Who.

Paul was born in Yorkshire, moved to Wales in 1974, and has lived in Sketty since 1990. He works in Swansea University, where he runs a research group. Married, with two grown-up children, Paul is a Governor of Sketty Primary School, and Chair of Discovery - the student volunteering service. Paul is particularly interested in Sketty's traffic and parking problems.
